Working the Trees I have been slowly developing an image enhancement workflow I call, The 10-channel Workflow. This is a flexible image enhancement strategy extracted from the ground breaking work of Dan Margulis. Dan’s working method, originally called the...
I recently recorded a webinar for the Mac Group about using the Sekonic L-758DR Digital Master Light meter, where I shot landscape photos at the Scituate Lighthouse in Massachusetts. Part of the webinar was about post processing, and I did an abbreviated version of...
The Fantastic World of Tarot Most of the time I have been teaching about photography, its been devoted to the single image captured in an instant, or built up with multiple exposures. However, much of my personal work takes the form of photo-Illustration, where an...
Everyone would agree that a great photo starts with a great capture—good composition, good light, good exposure, and a certain ineffable quality of magic that comes together at the moment the shutter is released. However, a great photo is not really finished at the...
Despite the wishes of most avid photographers, the photographic image is not really finished at the moment of capture. Every image can benefit with some level of post processing, even if it is just a modest adjustment in white balance or contrast. Most people never...

Join Bobbi and Lee for a luxury tour of Iceland with Focus on Nature.
Iceland is truly the land of fire and ice—one of the reasons it was used for many of the locations in the hit HBO series “The Game of Thrones!” Iceland reaches down into your soul and touches you in a profound and subtle way. There is a quiet drama besides the spectacular glaciers, mountain, and seashore. The soft green cliffs and fields that stretch to the water are speckled with sheep and the multitude of waterfalls adds to the visual delight. This is pristine and primal Earth, fueled by geothermal and absolutely pure water, and is a reminder of the strength and beauty of the planet.
