Portrait Retouching for the Artistically Challenged

While I’m putting the finishing touches on my DVD tutorials I thought I’d share some presentations from this past PMA show. I did an hour long  presentation about lighting techniques that take advantage of the idiosyncrasies of digital capture—including two detailed step-by-step tutorials on lighting in layers and light painting! I also show how to do shot blending and RGB, false-color lighting that can only be achieved with digital capture and Photoshop…

Here is another recording of a live presentation same PMA conference sessions. This one examines three different portrait enhancing techniques culminating in a detailed exploration of Frequency Separation retouching and eye enhancement in the final project. This is an hour long screen movie from live presentation, where I use a slightly different approach to setting up the frequency separation layers!
